Star Wars Characters I'd Like to See Make a Comeback

My list of a few Star Wars characters that I’d like to see more of in future works.  Perhaps in Mandalorian.

7. BAR-KOODA

Despite being a big, bad-ass man-eating shark/whale person, Bar-Kooda might be a little more savvy than his savagery suggests.  He’s amassed a group of loyal men and even a cruiser which he uses to terrorize crime lords while not bothering the Empire enough for them to put a worthwhile bounty on his head.  In fact, it’s a ridiculous coincidence that ultimately ends him.  He may have been within his bounds raiding one of some Hutt’s shipments, but he didn’t count on a rival Hutt’s simping so hard for the former’s daughter that he paid Boba Fett to take him out just to impress his prospective father-in-law.  It’s like a Space Whale Aesop with a literal space whale.

I’d probably have him played by Clancy Brown, his waste of a role in Mandalorian be damned.

6. MAKO SPINCE

A loutish scoundrel and an old friend of Han Solo who squandered the same opportunities (and more) that he shared with the latter.  Han makes the mistake of trusting him and (unlike Lando) ends up betraying him in the end.

Casting choice: Jeffrey Dean Morgan

5. CAD BANE

I know he’s already in The Clone Wars, but he’s a bad-ass and I love Corey Burton’s voice as this character.

4. GURI

A beautiful and deadly android who has a twisted sense of humor (she once waited for an enemy to come to after a massive fight with his allies so he could appreciate his death) and a bit of a redemption arc.  And also a very pretty ship.

Casting choice: Nicole Kidman

3. LADY VALARIAN

Legends universe made this character to answer the question, “What if Jabba wasn’t stupid?”  Valarian doesn’t needlessly mistreat her employees or put hits out on them if they inevitably get boarded, a rational business practice.  Still, she doesn’t take any nonsense, as demonstrated when her new husband defied her at their wedding (she killed and ate him).

Casting choice: Kath Soucie or Cree Summer in one of their more sultry roles.

2. ZSINJ

A tactically ingenious Imperial officer turned warlord.  His menace is offset by his somewhat pompous appearance, which is an intentional misdirection.

My first choice would be Philip Seymour Hoffman (RIP), but Jesse Plemons might do.  Heck, maybe even William Shatner.

1. ADMIRAL SCREED

In addition to his menacing appearance Terrinald Screed is also a tragic tale of an honorable, brave soldier turned into a corrupt warlord by gradual exposure to a corrupt system.  His former friendship with Jan Dodonna reminds me of some experiences in the fandom.  As Dodonna says, “No man becomes what he despises all at once. It happens little by little, through the smallest betrayals and abandonments. I think Terrinald knew on some level that the New Order he had done so much to support was hollow and built on lies, as I discovered. But his conclusion was different from mine—Terrinald concluded everything was built on lies. And in a galaxy like that, a man may as well become a liar himself."

Casting choice: Jim Caviezel or Benedict Cumberbatch
